Corporate video production costs in Dubai: a budgeting guide
Most corporate video budgets in Dubai are set before anyone has defined the deliverable, which is why quotes from three production houses can differ by a factor of five and all be reasonable.
This guide sets out what corporate video production actually costs in Dubai at each scale, what sits inside the number, and how to decide which scale your business needs before you request a quote.
The three production scales
Almost every corporate brief in this market lands in one of three scales. Identifying yours first is the single fastest way to make quotes comparable.
01
Social-first — AED 6,000–8,000 per half day
A crewed half day of four to five hours producing up to three edited vertical deliverables. This is the right scale for recurring social reels, founder-to-camera content, event coverage and recruitment clips where volume and consistency matter more than production design.
02
Company profile and explainer — AED 12,000–18,000 per day
A full production day of eight to ten hours with multi-camera coverage, interview lighting, sound, colour grade and up to eight deliverables. This is where company profile films, product explainers, customer stories and leadership interviews sit — the working scale for most B2B briefs in the UAE.
03
Brand film — AED 30,000 and upward
Multi-day production with art direction, casting, location scouting, licensed score and a longer post schedule. Appropriate when the film carries the brand for a year or more, is used in paid media, or has to hold up against international work in the same category.
What the number actually covers
A quote from a Dubai production house is a sum of the same components regardless of scale. When two quotes differ, one of these lines is almost always the reason.
- Crew — director, DOP, camera assist, sound, gaffer and producer, sized to the brief
- Equipment — camera package, lenses, lighting, grip, audio and any specialist gear
- Locations and permits — studio hire, venue fees and Dubai filming permits where required
- Talent — presenters, actors, models and their usage terms
- Post-production — edit, colour grade, sound mix, motion graphics, subtitles and versioning
- Licensing — music, stock and any renewal after the initial usage term
Where budgets get spent unintentionally
01
Deliverable count, not shoot length
A single shoot day feeding a hero film plus twelve cutdowns is mostly a post-production cost. Decide the full deliverable list before the shoot and the same day produces far more usable material at the same production fee.
02
Permits and locations
Public locations in Dubai require permits with lead time, and some venues charge separately for filming access. Building this into the schedule early avoids paying twice for a day that cannot legally proceed.
03
Revision rounds
Two structured rounds with consolidated feedback is normal. Unbounded revisions are where corporate projects overrun, and the fix is agreeing who signs off before the edit begins.
04
Usage term
Music and talent licences carry a term. A film intended to run for three years should be licensed for three years at the outset rather than renewed under pressure later.
Project versus retainer
For businesses producing video continuously, project-by-project commissioning is the more expensive route — each brief carries its own setup, scouting and onboarding cost.
Production retainers start at AED 16,000 per month for two shoot days, AED 28,000 for four and AED 48,000 for eight, and a combined production and social media management bundle starts at AED 20,000 per month. The cost per usable asset drops sharply once the studio already knows the brand, the locations and the approval process.
How to brief for an accurate quote
- State the primary deliverable, its length and where it will run
- List every secondary cut and aspect ratio you need from the same shoot
- Give the number of locations and whether any are public or require permits
- Confirm whether talent is internal staff or cast
- Name the usage term and the territories the film will run in
- Set the deadline — compressed schedules cost more in crew and post, not in scope
Questions clients ask us
What is the price of corporate video production in Dubai?
A crewed half day producing up to three social-first deliverables runs AED 6,000–8,000. A full corporate production day with multi-camera coverage, colour grade and up to eight deliverables runs AED 12,000–18,000. Brand films with art direction, casting and a longer post schedule start around AED 30,000.
How much should a company profile video cost?
Most company profile films are produced on a single full day at AED 12,000–18,000, which covers crew, equipment, interview setups, colour grade, sound mix and the hero film plus supporting cutdowns. Multi-location profiles run across two days and are priced accordingly.
Why do quotes from production houses in Dubai differ so much?
Usually because the deliverable list, crew size, post-production depth or usage licence differs — not because one studio is overcharging. Compare quotes line by line against crew, deliverable count, revision rounds and licence term before comparing totals.
Is a retainer cheaper than commissioning individual projects?
Yes, for any business publishing video monthly. Retainers start at AED 16,000 per month for two shoot days and remove the repeated setup, scouting and onboarding cost carried by every standalone commission.
Do corporate shoots in Dubai need filming permits?
Public locations, most free zones and many private venues require a permit or filming approval with lead time. Studio and office interiors you control generally do not. Permits should be confirmed before the schedule is fixed.
